Petalous Publishing, LLC is an independent publishing company that Doug and Diane Snelson co-founded. They aim to express universal themes with positive messages to enhance the reading experience.
Doug's poetry book, Laughter Includes the Word: Revealed, A Life of Poetry, is a collection of sixty-three poems reflecting his unique poetic perspective on the everyday events of his life spanning five decades. Each poem includes the circumstances of each composition, its location, and the year it was written.
The book was named a Mom's Choice Awards® Gold Recipient in the category of Young Adult Books-Poetry as among the best in family-friendly media, products, and services.
The children’s books, Who’s Got the Face, The Fable of the Snake Named Slim, and Everybody Deserves a Hug are gentle, fun, colorful, and inspiring rhyming stories and poems. The company has won numerous awards for early childhood development.

This is a great choice for bedtime reading to help inspire children to understand the need for kindness to everyone, even though that kindness may not be able to take the form of actual physical hugging these days."
